About Christian Science
Simply put, Christian Science is a Christian religion rooted in the Bible and based specifically upon the words and works of Christ Jesus.
Christian Science is a system of spiritual healing discovered and founded by Mary Baker Eddy — as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus. Mrs. Eddy wrote her seminal textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which students of Christian Science study in multiple translations around the world.
A deep dive into the study of Christian Science reveals a larger understanding of the laws of God and of man's spiritual perfection and unity with his/her Maker. These teachings also illuminate the Bible's assurances of God's love for all mankind and creation.
Christian Scientists study and practice this system of healing on a daily basis. Thousands of accounts of healings of physical diseases, financial difficulties and life threatening situations have been documented for well over a hundred and fifty years since the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, first established her church.
Mrs. Eddy wrote, “Jesus established his church and maintained his mission on a spiritual foundation of Christ-healing.” (1)
She also stated that her church was "designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing.” (2)
We see Christian Science as a way of life -- a way of thinking and living -- that is available to every “sincere seeker of Truth.” (3)
