Thinking About Independence
I recently read a powerful article in the Christian Science Sentinel about breaking a long-standing bad habit. The author asks, “So why had I allowed this pattern of behavior to plague me for so long without putting up a better fight, in other words, without taking a stronger spiritual stand in my thought?”


Climbing with humility
“I was frozen on a narrow ledge, fear creeping in with every second. But when I stopped struggling and turned wholeheartedly to God in prayer, I felt a deep calm settle over me. Then came a clear, unexpected direction: climb back down the way I’d come. Trusting that divine guidance completely, I descended with ease—and discovered that true safety begins with humility.”

Muscle spasms and pain healed

In that quiet moment of fear, something shifted—I felt calm, safe, and deeply connected to God. That small step of faith became the beginning of my healing and return to Christian Science.”
